Jose Cervantes-Jimenez

Jose is a native of California but moved to York, South Carolina at a young age. After receiving his bachelor of arts in economics degree from Winthrop university and being involved in economic impact analysis studies during his undergrad, he decided to continue to his education at Murray State University where he is currently working on his Master’s Degree in Economic Development.

Prior to joining York County Economic development in 2024, Jose was able to take part in conducting economic impact studies for the Carolina Thread Trail and Winthrop University. This introduction to economic development led his interest in the subject and furthered his passion for economic development. He previously spent time at The College of Business at Winthrop University working in accreditation and budgeting.
