Mitch Miller to Lead York County Economic Development

YORK COUNTY, SC – York County Economic Development (YCED) is pleased to announce that Mitch Miller has stepped into the role of Economic Development Director. Mitch has been a key part of the YCED team since joining as Deputy Director last year and has served as Interim Director since last summer.
With over 15 years of experience in economic development, Mitch is a proven leader who understands the complexities of business recruitment, retention, and expansion. His ability to foster relationships and navigate strategic growth opportunities will strengthen York County’s position as a top destination for business investment.
Before coming to York County, Mitch served as Chief Operating Officer of the Northeast Tennessee Regional Hub, where he led initiatives to support local businesses, improve workforce retention, and drive economic strategy. His experience also includes serving as CEO of the Northeast Tennessee Regional Economic Partnership and Washington County Economic Development Council, as well as leadership roles in marketing and business recruitment across the region.
His track record of collaboration and results-driven leadership has already made an impact in York County.

Mitch’s vision aligns with the priorities outlined in the County’s 2025-2027 Strategic Plan. He is passionate about building strong partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and stakeholders to drive sustainable growth and economic success. With a strong vision, he looks to shape initiatives from a unique point of view—ones that support local industries, nurture public-private collaboration, and ultimately create a more diverse and healthy business climate.
