York County Economic Development Earns Dual Honors in the 2023 IEDC Excellence in Economic Development Awards
Elevating York County: A Spotlight on Economic Excellence
YORK COUNTY, SC – York County Economic Development (YCED) was recently recognized at the 2023 International Economic Development Council (IEDC) Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas. YCED accepted two accolades as a part of the Excellence in Economic Development Awards, recognizing their contributions to the field.
YCED was honored with a Silver award in the Magazine & Newsletter category for their impactful "York County Economic Insight: Quarterly Newsletter Campaign." This quarterly digital publication offers valuable insights into various aspects of York County's growth, including economic trends, workforce development topics, infrastructure enhancements, and new/expanding business announcements. It is intentionally designed to engage a diverse audience, spanning local community members to a broader audience of investors and site selection experts. The campaign stood out for its success in delivering timely, relevant, and impactful content. Most notably, its open rates consistently exceeds industry benchmarks by more than a third, enhancing positive visibility for the county.
The second award, a Bronze in the Paid Advertising Campaign category, acknowledged YCED’s collaboration with the Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation (RHEDC) on the "Bright Minds + Big Ideas" campaign. This annual digital and print publication strategically promotes York County's milestones, development progress, and economic successes to diverse audiences, encompassing business executives, real estate brokers, residents, investors, and community allies, within the Charlotte region and beyond. The project has effectively showcased York County's growth, garnering recognition in the Charlotte Business Journal and demonstrating its impact through exceptional open and engagement rates that surpass industry norms.
